Visit Stellina Diving at Hotel Las Cayenas in Las Terrenas at Samana. he scuba diving school is in front of this beachfront hotel. The only scuba diving school directly in front of the beach with professional instructors.
All places are reachable in 10-15 minutes by our boat, which’s lying 25 meters away from our base at the white sandy beach of Las Terrenas. Normally, we organize two guided diving-tours a day. The first at 09.00 am, the second at 11.00 am. Our guests can choose, if they want to participate in both trips or just in one of them. At least at 01.00 pm our guests will be back to their families in the hotel.
Islands of «Las Ballenas»
Especially around the islands “Las Ballenas” – the whales – are situated the different diving places. From softly slope plateaus to canyons including little caves, every place gives a new impression of the underwater world. Each of these places differs completely in the landscape under water. In the different little caves, in some of them there is the possibility to dive, are romping rock-shelters, spider-crabs (Majidae), bearclaw cray, and a lot of fishes. The depth of diving amount from 4 to 18 meters.
Reef
On the offshore reefs with diving-depths of 24 to 42 meters like the “middle”- “outer”- “coson”- “camel” or the “creol-reef”, you can admire funnel-shaped sponges, and soft corals in a considerable area as the typical reef-vegetation.
